Terms of Use

1. The service
viva ("the app") is provided by winterlog studio ("we"). The app gathers what you did in a year from your phone's photos, calendar, and more, and stitches it into one hoop of embroidered patches. Sample hoops are free to explore.
2. Subscription
- viva is a yearly auto-renewing subscription. While subscribed, this year's hoop fills in every day, and you can use past years' hoops, snapshots, and story cards.
- Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends, it renews automatically for another year at the store price at that time.
- Cancel in your store settings (iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions; Android: Play Store → Payments & subscriptions). You keep access until the period ends, and snapshots you saved stay viewable.
- Payments are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play, at the price the store shows.
- Refunds follow each store's refund policy and go to the purchaser only. On another phone or after reinstalling, tap "Restore purchases" on the checkout screen to get your subscription back.
3. Fair use
- Don't stitch from other people's phones or accounts, reverse engineer the app or server, or call it beyond its limits.
- Your story cards and hoop images are yours to share. We keep the rights to the app's design and patch artwork.
4. Limits of liability
Patch designs are guesses made by your phone and our server from photos and words, and may not match reality. We work to keep viva running, but to the extent permitted by law we aren't liable for problems caused by events beyond our control or outages of outside services (the stores, OpenRouter, Cloudflare). Nothing here limits your statutory consumer rights.
5. Changes and disputes
We'll announce changes here and in the app 7 days before they take effect (30 days for changes against your interest). These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
